Americas / Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a small country, located between Nicaragua and Panama with coasts on both the Caribbean and Pacific. It has been a birdwatcher's dream since a long time because only a few places in the world boast of so many different birds in such a small area.
Costa Rica is home to 877 different species of birds. The diversity of species is due to the variety of geography and habitats including high mountains, valleys, extensive lowlands, lakes, estuaries, gulfs and mangroves. Our tours contain a fine example of sites and species visiting the Caribbean lowlands, the volcanoes and mountains as well as the Pacific Coast reserves and national parks.
